We are all entitled to our own opinions and those opinions are what build and shape our character. Opinions can be altered based on additional education, life experiences, and even wise words from others. Our generation is very closed minded when it comes to how we feel about something. Generally it is our way or no way at all.
Through this blog, we are hoping to encourage you to open your mind and be accepting of the opinions of others. Even if you choose not to adopt those opinions as your own, it is important to at least accept the fact that we all have different mindsets and different views on life. This blog will serve as a platform for healthy conversation and debate on topics that are relevant in our world today.
The authors of this blog are brothers of the Pi Zeta chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. including Fall 2010 initiate Demetrius Daniel, Fall 2009 initiates Tristan Marrow and Cory Bennett, Fall 2008 initiates Stevan Dozier and Deryle Daniels, Jr., and Spring 2007 initiates Renwick Pridgeon Jr., Charles Newsome, and George Acheampong. Just because the seven of us are fraternity brothers does not mean that we have similar mindsets. This disclaimer is to solidify that the posts on this blog are not representative of the viewpoint of all of the authors and in no way, shape, or form have any affiliation with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. We are simply seven men striving to be successful in this world and make an impact on those who read our words of enlightenment on this public platform.
